New York, NY- What if teachers, parents and students were the leaders of NYC schools?
How can teachers, students and parents help shape policy in NYC public schools? We will learn about the opportunities for community input under law and the impact of mayoral control of our schools on our voices in education.
Participants in this session will be prepared in their roles as researchers! We will review the goals and vision of our action research project that will launch our campaign for democracy in our school system and support our work with youth in the Dignity in Schools Campaign!
