School Discipline as a Predictor for Involvement in the Juvenile Justice System in Texas

"Study of Minority Over-Representation in the Texas Juvenile Justice System," Public Policy Research Institute, Texas A&M University (2005).

This is a study of the predictors for involvement in the juvenile justice system found that a history of school discipline was the most significant predictor. According to the results of this study, students with a history of school discipline are 23% more likely than those without a history of discipline to become involved in the juvenile justice system.
