Beyond the First Look: Turning Local Data into Action Webinar with Schott Foundation
On July 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. EST we will be joining the Schott Foundation for Public Education for the Beyond the First Look: Turning Local Data into Action Webinar. The webinar will explore the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights "First Look" data gathered during its biennial Civil Rights Data Collection for the 2013-2014 school year. This new OCR data reveals peristent disparities in educational equity and opportunity for students, especially along racial lines.
OCR will release district-level data in August and on this webinar DSC members from across the country will share strategies for how they will transform data into action to driving organizing, community empowerment and systemic policy change.
