
This case study lays out the implementation of Restorative Justice practices from 2014-2017 at Robeson High School in Chicago, IL. During the tenure of the Restorative Justice work, the school saw a 93% drop in police referrals, a drop of over 70% in out of school suspensions, and a drop by over 60% in student misconduct. Robeson also went from the lowest ranking (1) to the highest (5) in ‘my voice my school’ student surveys. The school also climbed from a category 3 to category 2. The restorative justice work at the school was implemented in partnership with Alternatives.
