DSC NY – Building Safe, Supportive and Restorative School Communities in New York City, Vol. I

Dignity in Schools Campaign New York (DSC-NY), Make the Road New York, Teachers Unite, NESRI (The National Economic and Social Rights Initiative, and the NYU School of Law Advanced Mediation Clinic co-authored an essay that describes the need for restorative practices in schools, and provides in-depth information about restorative practices and conflict resolution strategies.  The essay breaks down how these practices were implemented in New York public schools, and provides data about how they improved city-wide academic and disciplinary outcomes.
