Mississippi 2014 – This Southern Echo resource is an excellent example of a school district “report card” which rates individual schools on academic performance indicators as well as graduation rates. This tool can be used to adopt a similar accountability approach in your local school districts. As an added resource, the publication “Explaining Disparity in Student Performance” is a great tool for use in identifying the underlying factors in Mississippi’s disparate discipline practices that can easily be used as a national “barometer”.
