In the midst of a historical presidential and vice- presidential election – Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities are still plagued with economic, education, housing, safety and health inequities fueled by systemic racism for communities of color, the pandemic has highlighted the entrenched racial inequities that have pervaded nearly every quality of life aspect that most white Americans take for granted. The police murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor are a critical reminder that a call for racial justice is in front of our communities. We are demanding federal investment in our “quality of life” platform which will address the state-sponsored sabotage of basic quality of life institutions in our communities such as education, safety, housing, health care, climate and economic development.
