- Tell Congress to support the federal Keep Public Funds in Public Schools Act to repeal this voucher program
If your Governor has not signed on to the program:
- Mobilize your community to deliver the message that they must not sign on.
- Make sure the Governor knows that they will be held responsible for what happens if they sign on.
If your Governor has signed on:
- Even if they have signed on, if they don’t submit a list of approved Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) that can stop the program from moving forward.
- They have to opt in each year, so you can start applying pressure right now to keep them from signing up next year.
- Amplify any budget cuts, losses of services, school closings, or chaos caused by this program. Document and share widely, always emphasizing it is the Governor’s action that led to this.
